1. OICL AO Mains Exam Analysis of Quantitative Aptitude

This section comprised of 50 questions. The overall level of this section was Moderate.

    3 sets of Data Interpretation questions were asked.
    (a) One was a caselet DI, based on 3 companies and 3 months data.
    (b) One tabular DI
    (c) One mixed DI consisting of a Pie chart and a table.
    Number series was asked containing 5 questions.
    5 Questions were asked from Quadratic Equations.
    Questions from Simplification/ Approximation were also asked.
    Remaining questions of this section were asked from various arithmetic topics like Simple & 
Compound Interest, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Work, Partnerships, Probability, Profit & Loss, Percentages, Time Speed and Distance etc.

50 Questions were asked from this section. The overall level of reasoning section was Difficult.

    There were 4 sets of Puzzles and Seating Arrangement Questions.
   (A) One of them was a circular arrangement with 4 people who are inside, watching animals and 4 people who stand out, who watched the birds.

(B) Another was a linear arrangement in which people sat in a row, and the number of people was not specified.

Based on (a) Plan puzzle from Monday to Sunday, with 3 fruit as an additional parameter.

(D) Age-based puzzle game

   5 Questions on Input Output

5 Questions were raised by syllogisms. The questions were mainly based opportunities.

Sufficiency data were also asked to matters containing two applications from different topics as rating, based on the weight, etc.

There were a lot of questions with logical reasoning, as well.

3. ORIENTAL INSURANCE COMPANY LTD OICL AO Mains Exam Analysis of English Language


English section comprised of total 50 questions. This section was of Easy to Moderate level.

    10 Questions were raised on reading comprehension, which included 4 questions of synonyms / antonyms, as well. The passage was based on insurance in India.

10 Questions were raised on the Cloze Test

on the basis of the question mistake it was misspelled or stupid in some parts of the proposal, and one had to be identified.

Error issues in which 5 sentences were given in the options, and one had to determine the correct or incorrect statement.

4. ORIENTAL INSURANCE COMPANY LTD OICL AO Mains Exam Analysis of General Awareness


50 Questions were asked from the General Awareness section. The overall level of GA section was Easy to Moderate. Some of the questions asked were:

    E-Pragati in Andhra Pradesh
    IRDA related question
    Capital and currency based questions.
    Most of the questions asked were Insurance and Current Affairs based.

5. OICL AO Mains Exam Analysis of Descriptive Test


2 questions were asked in the descriptive test of OICL AO Mains exam, a letter and an essay.

    Essay Writing Topics:
    (a) Mutual Funds SIP Vs Whole life insurance for a child's future.
    Letter Writing Topics:
    (a) Letter requesting the change of name after marriage.
    (b) Letter to a bank manager inviting him to your company to give an introduction about Insurance and convince employees to buy it.

In the general awareness was light to moderate. Most of the Qs were related to the banking and insurance awareness. From this case it was proposed in the past three months.
